Mexico opens World Cup qualifying with absurd golazo

Unstoppable.

After spending a decade as Mexico's streakiest player, either their superstar or a complete liability, depending on the day, Andres Guardado has settled into some great form. He's been El Tri's most important midfielder for over a year now, and he kicked off World Cup qualifying with this absolutely ridiculous goal against El Salvador.

Forget the competition, goalkeeper, standard of opposition, all of that. This is an unstoppable shot, and it would have gone in against anyone. You can’t place a free kick any better than Guardado did here.
