The long wait for the first edition of El Clásico this season is over. Barcelona and Real Madrid finally face off on Saturday, with first place in La Liga on the line.

Barca currently lead the league by three points, but Madrid have the superior goal differential, and will go top with a victory.

Since Lionel Messi went down with an injury, Neymar and Luis Suarez have found their groove and the Blaugrana haven’t skipped a beat. They lost to Sevilla in the first game Messi missed, but have won every Champions League and La Liga match they’ve played since. Madrid have had bigger problems, with all of Karim Benzema, James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale all missing significant time, but they’re back in the squad for the Clásico.

Both teams are pretty healthy for this game, and Rafa Benitez remarked in his press conference that this was the first time this season he'd have all of his players available. Still, Real Madrid have doubts over whether or not Benzema can start, while Keylor Navas, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo all have minor injury issues, though they're expected to start. The big injury story coming into this game is Lionel Messi, who sprained his knee in September. He'll be in the 18-man squad, but it's not known if he's fit enough to start. Barcelona also has minor concerns over the fitness of Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic, while Rafinha Alcantara and Douglas are out.
