Manchester United vs. CSKA Moscow: confirmed lineups
Ashley Young is starting in defense and Wayne Rooney is alone up top again for Manchester United.

Manchester are trying to get them with a little bit of a patchwork defense, with Ashley Young filling in at right back. We saw him do well as a left wingback at times last season, but as a proper fullback on his weaker side? That’s going to be an adventure. Louis van Gaal is also persisting with Wayne Rooney up top as a lone striker with Anthony Martial shunted out to the left, despite plenty of evidence that that’s not working.
Time to see if things get any better for Manchester United. A fourth straight scoreless match wouldn’t be much fun for their fans.
