There is an unmissable game over in Italy on Monday, with Serie A's two top sides facing off at Napoli's Stadio San Paolo. Inter Milan head in as league leaders, with Roberto Mancini's men having scraped nine wins from their opening 13 matches, largely thanks to an excruciatingly miserly defensive record. It remains to be seen whether their title push will go the distance, but a win away at Napoli would be a very important milestone and give them some breathing space at the Serie A summit.

The two top teams in Italy face off at the San Paolo on Monday.

However, beating the Neapolitans is a task easier said than done. After a slightly shaky start, new coach Maurizio Sarri is doing some seriously impressive things at the San Paolo. His side haven't lost since a defeat to Sassuolo in August, and they've been much more prolific in front of goal than Inter. Having won all but one of their games in front of their own fans, Napoli should head into this game optimistic about going top of the table for the first time this season.
Key player: Gonzalo Higuaín (Napoli)
Napoli's impressive goalscoring record is in no small part thanks to the excellent record of Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuaín. The former Real Madrid man sits level with Sampdoria's Éder atop the Serie A scoring charts, having netted 10 times this season. He's struck up a wonderful partnership with winger Lorenzo Insigne, and between them they've scored more league goals than the entire Inter team put together. Keeping them both quiet will be the toughest task yet for the Inter defense. Can the unstoppable force dislodge the immovable object?
Recent history
Usually matches between two teams of this caliber are fairly evenly matched, but not this one. Napoli have won three of their last six meetings with Inter, who haven’t won one since a 2-1 win at the San Siro back in 2012. The three prior meetings to that clash were also all won by Napoli. Indeed, you have to go all the way back to 1997 for the last time Inter won away at the San Paolo in a league game, when Fabio Galante and a Francesco Turrini own goal helped the Milanese outfit to a 2-0 win. Inter went on to finish that season second; Napoli, quite remarkably, finished rock bottom.
Napoli injuries and suspensions
Out: None. In doubt: Dries Mertens (thigh); Manolo Gabbiadini (ankle).
Inter Milan injuries and suspensions
Out: None. In doubt: Davide Santon (achilles); Geoffrey Kondogbia (thigh).
Neither side have any confirmed absentees, but both have a couple of doubts each. For Napoli, attackers Mertens and Gabbiadini face a race to be fit, while Inter could be without full-back Santon and holding midfielder Kondogbia.
