Juventus will look to continue their recent resurgence at home to Fiorentina Sunday. Massimiliano Allegri's reigning champions made a nightmare start to the new season, though five consecutive league victories have seen them move within six points of league leaders Inter Milan. They appear to have hit peak form once again, and they're certainly back in the title race.

However, Fiorentina themselves are also enjoying an excellent campaign so far this season. New coach Paulo Sousa has impressed with the style of football he's implemented at the Florentine outfit, and they find themselves only a point off top spot as we approach the midway point of the season. For the first time in a long time, the viola look like genuine contenders to win the scudetto, and they're sure to give Juve a run for their money in Turin.

Key player: Paulo Dybala (Juventus)

Juve striker Paulo Dybala is enjoying his debut season in Turin, having already scored seven league goals since making the move from Palermo in the summer. The young Argentine is helping to fill the big void vacated by Carlos Tevez, with his incessant movement and clinical finishing reminiscent of his tenacious compatriot. Don't be surprised to see him add to his tally in this match.

Recent history

Juventus have unsurprisingly shaded this fixture over the last few years, having not lost to Fiorentina in the league since 2013. However, the Tuscans recorded their debut win at the new Juventus Stadium in the Coppa Italia last season, and their further improvement over the summer will doubtless give them confidence of winning away at the bianconeri for the first time in Serie A since 2008.

Fiorentina injuries and suspensions

Out: Jakub Błaszczykowski (injured). In doubt: None.

Juve will be short of Pereyra and Hernanes, though they'll hope to have Khedira and Lemina available to bolster their midfield. Fiorentina's only certain absentee is Polish winger Błaszczykowski, who picked up a muscular injury on international duty last month.
