Abby Wambach closes out her career on Wednesday night.

Wambach, the leading scorer in the history of women’s international soccer, started her national team career in 2001 while she was still in college. She finishes her career with two Olympic gold medals, a World Cup title and one FIFA World Player of the Year award.
Fittingly, a lot of new talent is likely to feature for the USWNT in Wambach’s final game. Lindsey Horan and Crystal Dunn are quickly becoming fixtures on the team and both look likely to make a trip to the Olympics. Jaelene Hinkle, Emily Sonnett, Rose Lavelle, Danielle Colaprico and Stephanie McCaffrey all are 22 or younger and could get time for the United States on Wednesday night.
For those hoping to see Megan Rapinoe or Christie Rampone, we’re sorry, but you’re out of luck. Both are out with injuries.
Match date/time: Wednesday, 8 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. local
Venue: Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans, La.
TV: Fox Sports 1
