Bundesliga. It’s what you watch if you want excitement. And judging from the 38 goals knocked in last week, it’s not where you go to see prime examples of world-class defending. Who cares, though? Last weekend was one of the most fun rounds of football in recent memory. The league will have a tough time repeating it, but we’re pretty sure at least a few games will provide entertainment. And/or laughter.
Bundesliga week 22: Bayern dominate; Dortmund, Wolfsburg win again
Just six goals for Bayern Munich this week, while Bas Dost adds another two to his impressively quick tally.

Stuttgart vs. Borussia Dortmund
Watch: GOLTV (USA); BT Sport Extra (UK), Sky Bundesliga 1, Sky Go Deutschland (Germany)
It sure seems like neither of these teams should be sitting at the (near) bottom of the Bundesliga table. We all know Dortmund’s riches-to-rags story, but seem to have forgotten it’s been less than a decade since Stuttgart won the Bundesliga title. Stuttgart are pros at riding the Bundesliga roller-coaster, but considering they’re dead last, they may want to start, you know, winning. But Dortmund already figured this out, notching two -- yes two! -- consecutive wins to pull themselves out of the basement. Considering Stuttgart have scored just one goal since returning from the break, this match could find Dortmund knocking in enough goals to have them look respectable again.
Schalke vs. Werder Bremen
Watch: hahahaha of course it’s Bayern being broadcast you foolish, foolish people.
Five straight wins for Werder, with 12 goals along the way. Suddenly they’re fighting for Europe rather than fighting against the drop. But Schalke, assholes that they are, have scored just three goals in four matches. We’re pretty sure they’re going to find a way to make this game boring as well. So -- moving on.
Paderborn vs. Bayern Munich
Watch: GOLTV (USA); Sky Bundesliga 2, Sky Go Deutschland (Germany)
Ok, it’s not that it’s going to be a close game, but it is Bayern, and Bayern are almost always fun to watch. Except, perhaps, when they’re playing a Champions League game in Ukraine. But usually Pep Guardiola’s team is pretty much perfect, possessing the ability to score on command. Last week they destroyed HSV, 8-0. Considering that Paderborn have practically no defense to speak of, it’s a bit frightening to think how Bayern might embarrass their hosts.
Wolfsburg vs. Hertha Berlin
Watch: GOLTV (USA); BT Sport 1 (UK); Sky Go Deutschland (Germany)
And poor Hertha. Bayern are the best team in Bundesliga, but, with all due respect to the reigning champions, the Wolves are the most exciting. Not just in Bundesliga, you say? Who are we to disagree? Wolsfburg have scored 13 goals in Bundesliga in 2015 so far, with five coming last week in a nine-goal thriller against Leverkusen. Hertha, fighting against the drop, did score those two goals two weeks ago, but, um, that’s about it. Target practice for Bas Dost, then?
