Ghana vs. Equatorial Guinea live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch Africa Cup of Nations online

The hosts have been lucky thus far, but might need to actually play well to win on Thursday.

Since their disappointing opening match against Senegal, it's been smooth sailing for Ghana, who have looked like the most organized team at the Africa Cup of Nations. They're doing a decent job of finding the back of the net too, and they'll be big favorites against hosts Equatorial Guinea in the semifinals, even with the crowd against them.

It's been a bit of a lucky run for Equatorial Guinea thus far. They were gifted a late penalty to force extra time against Tunisia, and the referee from that match, referee Seechurn Rajindraparsad, has been suspended from CAF fixtures for six months. Officiating has been favorable for them in other matches as well, and they were the beneficiaries of Group A favorites, Burkina Faso, having bad hotel problems.

That’s not to say Equatorial Guinea have been horrible in this tournament or that they have no chance of pulling an upset. Javier Balboa is having a very good tournament and the Nzalang Nacional defense has played well. But they’ve probably met their match against Ghana, and will need a combination of great play and great luck to get by the Black Stars.

Match date/time: Thursday, 2 p.m. ET, 8 p.m. local

Venue: Nuevo Estadio de Malabo, Malabo, Equatorial Guinea

TV: beIN Sports (U.S. and Canada), beIN Sports en Español (U.S. - Spanish), Eurosport 1/ITV 4 (U.K.)
