Werder Bremen vs. Bayern Munich 2015 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

Bayern have scored 24 goals in their last four matches against Werder Bremen. Things could get messy again on Saturday.

Bayern Munich will look to continue their imperious run of form with a victory away at Werder Bremen on Saturday, and few would bet against Pep Guardiola’s side doing so. The Bavarian outfit have only lost one league game this season, and head into the weekend 11 points clear of second-placed Wolfsburg. Anything other than a win would be a surprise at the Westerstadion.

As if that wasn’t scary enough for Werder, they have conceded a quite unbelievable 24 goals in the last four matches against Bayern, at an average of six per game. They’ve lost every single match they’ve played against the Bavarian outfit since 2010, and haven’t beaten them since 2008. On that occasion, a certain Mesut Özil scored one and assisted two more in a shock 5-2 win at the Allianz Arena. A repeat this weekend looks equally unlikely.

Key player - Thomas Müller (Bayern Munich)

Thomas Müller’s attacking genius isn’t always easy to spot. On the ball, he’s a pretty unflashy player, and isn’t likely to go on a Cristiano Ronaldoesque charge down the flank before lashing the ball home. Instead, his brilliance lies in his positional awareness; it’s no coincidence he pops up in the right place at the right time over and over again. He’s a nightmare for defenders to try and mark, and he could well make the difference again in this match.

Key matchup - Mario Götze vs. Philipp Bargfrede

Bayern’s fluid attacking play means they often have many different players in advanced positions. However, one man who will be looking to orchestrate things in this match is Mario Götze, who could well find himself deployed in a nominal central playmaking role. If that proves to be the case, it’ll be Werder’s midfield anchorman Philipp Bargfrede who will have to keep him quiet.

Werder Bremen injuries and suspensions

Out: Melvyn Lorenzen (knee), Marnon Busch (unspecified), Alejandro Gálvez (ankle), Assani Lukimya (abdomen), Özkan Yıldırım (groin), Franco Di Santo (suspended). In doubt: None.

Bayern Munich injuries and suspensions

Out: Thiago Alcântara, Javi Martínez (knee), Philipp Lahm, Franck Ribéry (ankle), Arjen Robben (trapped nerve). In doubt: None

Werder Bremen have a string of long-term injured players still out, alongside suspended striker Franco Di Santo. The former Wigan Athletic man has netted 12 times this season, so they could miss him. Bayern, meanwhile, will still be without Thiago, Javi Martínez and Philipp Lahm, while wingers Franck Ribéry and Arjen Robben are new additions to their injury list.
