Swansea vs. Liverpool 2015: Time, TV schedule and live stream

Liverpool will look to continue their Champions League push away at Swansea on Monday.

Liverpool will look to continue their push for Champions League football with a fifth straight Premier League victory on Monday. They travel to South Wales to play a Swansea City side that have had a pretty impressive season so far, but who are unlikely to have enough to stop Brendan Rodgers’ on-form Reds. Liverpool have moved within a couple of points of Manchester United and the all-important top four, and their momentum gives them a great chance of leapfrogging their rivals on the home straight.

However, they should take Swansea lightly at their peril. Garry Monk’s side may have lost the momentum that saw them riding high in the division’s European places early in the season, but just a few weeks ago Swansea managed to see off United 2-1 at the Liberty Stadium. They’re still in the top half, and as such, there’s a pretty good chance of an upset. If Liverpool get complacent, they could pay a heavy price.

Key player - Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)

Brendan Rodgers’ coaching seems to be working wonders for Liverpool attacker Philippe Coutinho, who seems to be growing more mature in his play with every passing week. While he can still have his frustrating selfish moments, they are now fewer and further between. He’s a real livewire, and Swansea could struggle to keep him quiet as he buzzes around the final third.

Key matchup - Jonjo Shelvey vs. Jordan Henderson

One of this game's big storylines is Swansea midfielder Jonjo Shelvey taking on his former club. Shelvey is a very strange player, capable of veering between a frustrating Championship-level player and an astonishing Champions League one. It'll be up to Liverpool's Jordan Henderson to try and ensure it's the former Shelvey rather than the latter in this meeting.

Swansea City injuries and suspensions

Out: Kyle Bartley (knee).

Liverpool injuries and suspensions

Out: Brad Jones (thigh), Lucas Leiva (groin), Jordan Ibe, Jon Flanagan (knee). In doubt: Joe Allen (thigh), Steven Gerrard (hamstring).

Swansea will be without Kyle Bartley courtesy of a knee injury, though otherwise they should be fully fit. Liverpool, meanwhile, still have a string of players sidelined, though midfielders Joe Allen and Steven Gerrard could both be fit enough to mark their returns.

Match Date/Time: Monday, 8 p.m. local, 4 p.m. ET

Venue: Liberty Stadium, Swansea, Wales

TV: NBCSN, Mun2 (U.S. - English), NBC Universo (U.S. - Spanish), Sportsnet World (Canada), Sky Sports 1 (U.K.)
