AS Roma vs. Juventus live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch Serie A online

First play second in Serie A on Monday, with Roma looking to close in on league leaders Juventus.

The two best teams in Italy face off at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Monday, though, thanks to some rather patchy Roma form, this game isn’t anywhere near as tense or significant as it ought to be. They’ve allowed Juventus to pull nine points clear at the top of the table in recent weeks, and with just 14 games of the season left, the title race seems all but over.

However, the fat lady isn’t singing just yet, meaning her friend the Old Lady can’t quite take her foot off the pedal. Juve’s gap is a handsome one, though with them still involved in both the Champions League and Coppa Italia, as well as having recently been held to draws by struggling Udinese and Cesena, Massimiliano Allegri will want to make sure his side stay as professional as ever in the run-in.

Key player - Paul Pogba (Juventus)

Paul Pogba is almost certainly the best midfield all-rounder on the planet. Whether it's lashing the ball into the back of the net or making a goal-saving tackle, he can do it all. Radja Nainggolan and Daniele De Rossi will be Roma's midfield muscle tasked with the unenviable job of keeping the former Manchester United man quiet.

Key matchup - Gervinho vs. Patrice Evra

No one in world football veers between the sublime, the ridiculous and the plain terrible quite like Roma winger Gervinho. On his day, he can win matches single handedly; off it, and he can waste even the most simple of chances. Juventus’ ageing left-back Patrice Evra will certainly be hoping that it’s bad Gervinho who turns up, or he’ll be in for a miserable evening.

AS Roma injuries and suspensions

Out: Kevin Strootman, Federico Balzaretti, Leandro Castán, Víctor Ibarbo, Bogdan Lobonț, Maicon (injured).

Juventus injuries and suspensions

Out: Kwadwo Asamoah, Rômulo, Luca Marrone, Andrea Pirlo, Stefano Sturaro (injured).

Roma have no major new absences to contend with, though January arrival Víctor Ibarbo misses out alongside a string of long-term injured players. Juve’s biggest miss will be Andrea Pirlo, who limped out of their Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund and looks set for a spell on the sidelines. Wing-back Kwadwo Asamoah still hasn’t recovered from his knee problem.
