The first knockout round of the Champions League saw some incredible battles and a couple major surprises, giving us entertainment and enjoyment galore. With the teams left in the quarterfinal round, we should get some more incredible matches as the competition progresses towards the final in Berlin.

Title holders Real Madrid are one of three Spanish sides among the eight total clubs left, alongside arch-rivals Barcelona and cross-town combatant Atletico Madrid. The only other nation with multiple representatives is France, where both Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco both upset English opponents to knock England out of the Champions League entirely.

The rest of the group is a varied one, from recent Champions League winners Bayern Munich to Italian superpower Juventus to Portuguese giants Porto. No matter which teams get drawn together, we’re guaranteed excitement and fantastic matches, especially with the penchant for rivalries and historical matchups to crop up in the quarter final round of cup competitions.

This is going to be fun.
