Denmark vs. USA 2015: Time, TV schedule and team news

The USMNT’s preparation for the next World Cup qualifying cycle continues to with a tough test against the Danes.

Jurgen Klinsmann and the U.S. Men’s National Team continue ramping up towards the Gold Cup with the first of two tough friendly matches during this latest international break. First up is a match in Aarhus against Denmark on Wednesday.

While several veterans will be available, including the likes of Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley, there are plenty of newer faces on the roster for this match. Rubio Rubin, Ventura Alvarado, William Yarbrough, Gyasi Zardes and Brek Shea are on the roster, along with promising youngsters Julian Green and John Brooks. Usual faces Geoff Cameron, Matt Besler, Graham Zusi and Kyle Beckerman were all not called up.

Thanks to a last-minute agreement between the Danish federation and the players union, Denmark will be fielding a first-choice roster, allowing the game to actually serve the purpose that Klinsmann hoped when he arranged the friendly.

The only major injury impacting the match for the United States belongs to Clint Dempsey, who was forced to withdraw with a hamstring injury.
