Yesterday's bizarre match between Newcastle United and Manchester United was marred by an even stranger incident in the 38th minute that saw Jonny Evans and Papiss Cisse appear to spit on one another. Now it looks like they'll pay for their poor judgment.
Papiss Cisse suspended 7 games over spitting incident, Jonny Evans decision lingering

The incident is a breach of player conduct policies that was likely to get the pair suspended for six matches each, but Cisse has been suspended for seven games. Punishment has yet to come down for Evans.
For his part, Cisse seems very sorry for losing his temper and control:

That denial seems unlikely to have much of an effect on the FA’s disciplinary panel, who agreed unanimously on charging the players. Both Evans and Cisse have until Friday evening to respond to the charges.
