Bayern Munich fans mock Borussia Dortmund with their own Batman and Robin tifo

Bayern Munich fans poked fun at their rivals with a tifo showing Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben as Batman and Robin.

Borussia Dortmund fans were recently delighted by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marco Reus celebrating a goal by donning Batman and Robin masks. Bayern Munich fans decided to do one better for the Der Klassiker matchup with their archrivals in the DFB Pokal semifinals.

That's Badman and Robben -- er, Franck Ribéry and Arjen Robben as 30-foot versions of Batman and Robin, as displayed by the Südkurve, home to some of the rowdiest Bayern fans around. It's obviously a response to the Dortmund players' celebration in that match against Schalke in February, with an underlying message of "Bayern did it first and did it better."

That’s about as blatant a middle-finger-we’re-better-at-everything-than-you tifo aimed at Dortmund fans as you’ll get. Except maybe a literal tifo of a giant middle finger that says “we’re better at everything than you,” which wouldn’t entirely be a surprise given the nature of the rivalry not only between the clubs, but between the fan bases as well. That it comes on the heels of Bayern clinching yet another Bundesliga title is only icing on the cake for the fans.
