Former FIFA executive Jack Warner, who was arrested in Trinidad on Wednesday and faces extradition to the United States, balls really hard. Other international soccer authorities who took bribes did so in a way that was fairly subtle, but Warner wanted straight cash, homey.

When FIFA was considering which country would host the 2006 World Cup, Mr. Warner sent a relative to a Paris hotel room to collect a briefcase filled with cash in $10,000 stacks from a South African bid-committee official, according to the indictment.
Oh, you promise to vote for me in the next election? Buy me a car? A diamond-encrusted watch? Nah fam, I want a briefcase full of money or you’re not getting your way.
