USA vs. Sweden live stream: How to watch the Women’s World Cup online

Pia Sundhage takes on her former team after recently saying a few choice words about them.

The United States and Sweden were both tested in their opening games, but still appear to be favorites to finish first and second. Friday’s game between the two should tell us a lot about whether or not they have the credentials to challenge for World Cup 2015.

Sweden didn't look great in their opener, drawing 3-3 with Nigeria. While the U.S. doesn't have quite the same pace up top, they do have some great athleticism, a much better goalkeeper, and they're less shaky on defensive set pieces. However, the U.S. midfield was a wreck against Australia, so Caroline Seger is probably licking her chops thinking about running at it and passing through it.

While Sundhage's recent comments are unlikely to sway Jill Ellis, she still does have a tough decision to make about Wambach. The United States legend wasn't great against Australia and will have to be rested at some point during the tournament. This isn't a bad time to get a look at someone else. Sweden will also have to consider changing their lineup after getting run over in midfield on occasion by Nigeria. Don't be surprised if a striker gets dropped and Seger gets moved up the pitch.
