France made a perfect start to their Women’s World Cup campaign, seeing off a potentially tricky match against England with a comfortable victory. A magnificent strike from Eugénie Le Sommer in the first half of their match separated the sides on the scoreboard, though it could easily have been a bigger winning margin for a side that are one of the serious contenders to lift the World Cup next month.
France vs. Colombia, Women’s World Cup 2015: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online
France should make it two wins from two in the Women’s World Cup on Saturday.

They will be looking to book their place in the knockout stages with a victory over Colombia in their second match in Moncton on Saturday, and should have little problem in doing so. The South American side certainly aren’t without talent, and have finished as runners-up in both of the last editions of the Copa América. However, they’re yet to beat one of the world’s top sides, and they’ll likely come up short again on the back of drawing their opening match against Mexico.
