Brazil vs. Peru, 2015 Copa America: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

It’s time for Neymar to rise and carry Brazil to glory in the 2015 Copa America.

Brazil have one mission over the next month: to put the sour taste of their World Cup failure behind them and win the Copa America. The first step in that quest? A date with Peru.

Peru are a hard-nosed team with nothing but fight in them. They’ve earned some impressive wins over the past few years. But make no mistake: Brazil are head and shoulders better and then some, and it would be an absolutely shocking result if this is anything but a one-sided romp for Brazil.

Key player -- Neymar (Brazil)

It’s Neymar Time in Brazil. The captain of the Seleção is primed and ready to lead his side to glory, and comes in to the Copa America riding on the high of helping Barcelona to become the first team to win a second treble in Europe. He’s been on a tear lately, and now he’s going to but Brazil on his shoulders and carry them as far as he can en route to the final in Santiago on July 4. Neymar may look small, but he is more than strong enough to carry this star-studded team a long ways with glory on the line.

Key Matchup -- Thiago Silva (Brazil) vs. Paolo Guerrero (Peru)

If Peru are going to have any chance in this match, they need to be incredibly lethal on set pieces and counter attacks. That means that striker Paolo Guerrero, a dominant force in the air, will be a vital key to his nation’s hopes against Brazil. He has a knack for finding spaces on set pieces and winning just about every aerial challenge he goes up for, but Brazil may have the perfect piece to counter his dominance: Thiago Silva. Silva is every bit as good off the ground, and his ability to punish forwards when they’re on the ground may keep Guerrero grounded. If their captain can’t get going, Peru will be dead in the water.
