Brazil will bid to lift their sixth U-20 World Cup when they take on Serbia on Saturday.

It’s Brazil that head into the match as favourites, not least thanks to the 5-0 thrashing they dished out to Senegal in the semifinal. However, Serbia will take heart from the fact that Brazil relied on penalties to get by Uruguay and Portugal in their two first knockout games, failing to score a single goal from open play in over three hours of football. They’re certainly not invincible.
Then again, Serbia may have had a more exciting run to the final, but it was hardly less difficult. Either side of a quarterfinal penalties defeat to the United States they relied on extra time goals to progress, seeing off both Hungary and Mali 2-1. For both of these teams, this tournament has been anything but easy.
If you’re looking for star players, keep an eye on Brazil attacking midfielder Boschilia, with the São Paulo man having pulled the strings and scored a couple of goals himself en route to the final. Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira has also impressed when he’s played, but will likely only make the bench.
