Monday’s Women’s World Cup knockout stage games open with Norway taking on England for the right to take on Canada in the quarterfinals. It’s a match that does look too close to call, though Norway’s more impressive showing in the the group stages means they are favorites heading in.
Norway vs. England, Women’s World Cup 2015: Time, TV schedule and live stream
Norway start their WWC knockout stage campaign against England in Ottawa on Monday.

The Scandinavian outfit have been nearly a constant force in the World Cup, finishing as runners-up in the inaugural edition before winning it for the only time in 1995. After a disappointing group stage exit four years ago they look like they’re back, spearheaded by teenage striking sensation Ada Hegerberg. They managed to hold favorites Germany to a draw when they met in the groups, and that tells you something about the form they’re in.
England, meanwhile, have reached the quarterfinals at every World Cup for which they’ve qualified, but never progressed any further. It’s tough to envision them breaking that record at this tournament, but it’s true that they’ve improved through their three group games. They followed up a dismal defeat to France with wins over Mexico and Colombia, and will head into this match with confidence.
