Canada have not been spectacular so far at this World Cup, but they've met their nation's minimum expectations, winning their group and making it to the quarterfinal. They face their biggest test yet in the quarterfinal on Saturday, when they take on England.
England vs. Canada, 2015 World Cup: Start time, TV schedule and live stream
Don’t expect a lot of goals from this quarterfinal.

These teams have both defended well in this tournament, but lack creativity. Their forwards are decent, but they’re not getting much in the way of service. It would be surprising if this game was played at a breakneck pace or featured a lot of goals.
Key player: Sophie Schmidt
This might finally be the game where Diana Matheson features for Canada, but she’s not going to play 90 minutes yet, and even if she starts, she’s unlikely to be the best version of herself. That means Schmidt will have to be a bit more of a playmaker than she’s used to yet again. She hasn’t been bad in this tournament, but she also hasn’t made up for Matheson’s absence.
Key matchup: Lauren Sesselmann vs. England's forwards
Sesselmann is the more veteran of Canada’s two central defenders, but she only worked her way back from an injury right before the tournament and has been a bit shaky, while youngster Kadeisha Buchanan has been excellent. England have some solid forwards who can capitalize if Sesselman fails to judge long balls and through balls correctly.
