England continue preparations for the resumption of their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign with a friendly away in Dublin on Sunday, where they will rekindle an old rivalry with the Republic of Ireland. Despite having invariably the better team, the Three Lions have traditionally struggled against their neighbour, and haven’t beaten them in any fixture since a friendly back in 1985.
Republic of Ireland vs. England live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online
England head to Dublin on Sunday looking to beat the Republic of Ireland for the first time in three decades.

Roy Hodgson will look to rewrite recent history and record a victory to continue the momentum his side have built up over the last few months. They’ve won all of their competitive matches since being eliminated in the group stages of the World Cup in Brazil, and only failed to record a victory in a friendly against Italy last time out. Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton and attackers Jamie Vardy and Charlie Austin of Leicester City and QPR respectively have been called up to represent England for the first time.
Ireland, meanwhile, have been in typically patchy form of late, though draws against Germany and Poland and a 4-1 hammering of the United States have shown that they’re not to be taken lightly. Still spearheaded by the evergreen LA Galaxy forward Robbie Keane, they’re a relatively experienced side. Their only potential debutant is midfielder Harry Arter, who just won promotion from the English second tier with Bournemouth.
