Spain vs. Costa Rica, 2015 Women’s World Cup: Time, TV schedule and live stream

Spain and Costa Rica will make their WWC debuts in their clash on Tuesday.

Spain and Costa Rica will both play their first-ever Women’s World Cup match when they face off in Montreal on Tuesday, and both will be desperate for victory. With Brazil almost certain to romp to victory in Group B, second place could be closely contested -- and whoever wins this match will have a massive advantage.

Just because these sides are both debutantes doesn’t mean they don’t have talent. For Spain, watch out for attacker and captain Vero Boquete, who has a prolific scoring record at international level. She’s played her domestic football just about everywhere from the United States to Russia, and in May signed a contract with Bayern Munich. Las Ticas could well struggle to keep her quiet.

Fortunately, they have their own star in Paris Saint-Germain’s Shirley Cruz. She’s established herself as one of the most recognizable figures on the European scene since moving to France with Lyon almost a decade ago. The only Costa Rica international to play her domestic football outside of her homeland, she’ll need to produce some big performances in the center of the park.
