Their opponents, Panama, will feel like they should be in the final. They led Mexico going into stoppage time when El Tri were given a very soft penalty. Panama’s protests led to a long delay, complete with a fight and fans throwing garbage onto the field.
It’s anyone’s guess what kind of lineups these teams field. Jurgen Klinsmann was highly experimental in games that mattered, so it would be surprising if he didn’t field a weird XI that looks nothing like any of his previous teams.
FOX clearly didn't anticipate the United States dropping into this game, so it's not going to be too easy for most viewers to catch. It's on FOX Sports 2 instead of 1 or the big broadcast network.
