After spending a season on loan at Real Madrid, it appears that Mexico star Javier Hernandez has finally found a new permanent home. He’ll be moving from Manchester United to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, which will be playing in the UEFA Champions League this season. The move is a permanent one and the transfer fee has not been disclosed.

The Mexico international will finally get a chance to shine in a team that suits him.

Hernandez got off to a brilliant start in his United career after moving from Mexico, scoring 20 goals in his debut season. He was solid in his next two campaigns as well, but struggled in his fourth season with the Red Devils. That led to the decision to loan him out to Real Madrid, where he didn’t see much playing time, but he went on a nice run of form late in the season when Karim Benzema suffered an injury.
With Bayer Leverkusen, Hernandez's movement off the ball and poacher's mentality will come in handy. They're one of the fastest teams in Europe, create counters off pressure and have playmakers in their attacking band of three, behind their striker. Hernandez is likely to thrive in that environment. Stefan Kießling has been very inconsistent for Bayer, so they'll be thrilled to add Chicharito.
Manchester United were already in need of a striker before selling Hernandez, so they clearly have a signing or two in mind. There have been rumors of bids for lots of forwards, but nothing has been settled yet.
