Fredy Guarin scores a rocket in the Milan Derby

He hit that on a rope in one of the biggest matches of Inter’s season.

The Derby della Madonnina between Inter Milan and AC Milan is always a heated affair, but goals can be awfully hard to come by. The last four editions of it in the league have had just four goals scored between them, with a 1-0 win for each team two years ago, and 1-1 and 0-0 draws last season. So it shouldn't be surprising that it took an hour for the first goal of this year's Milan Derby, but at least Fredy Guarin made the waiting worthwhile.

That is a rocket hit on the run in traffic, which is no easy feat. Maybe Diego Lopez could have done better against it, maybe not, but that was a heck of a hit that was always going to be tough to save.
