Must watch: Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayer Leverkusen

It’s not one of the big derbies that Dortmund play against Bayern or Schalke, but they’ve had some memorable battles against Leverkusen over the last few years. We could be in for another one of them this weekend as Dortmund put their perfect Bundesliga record on the line against a Leverkusen team that has struggled out of the gate in the league this season. This has all the makings of an exciting, back-and-forth battle between two very talented teams, and should prove to be the most fun match of the weekend.

Best early Saturday game: Real Madrid vs. Granada

This isn’t exactly a huge matchup for Real Madrid -- they should beat Granada with ease -- but that’s not why you should watch this match. No, you should watch this match because Cristiano Ronaldo is in absolutely ridiculous scoring form right now -- form that has given him Real Madrid’s scoring record in La Liga and has left him two goals behind Raul for their all-competitions scoring record. Given that he’s scored eight goals in his last two matches, there’s a very good chance Ronaldo breaks that record this weekend.

Best early Sunday game: Roma vs. Sassuolo

Roma are feeling like high flyers after holding mighty Barcelona to a draw in the Champions League and outplaying them for long stretches of the match. They’ll be trying to use that momentum to gain ground on Inter in the Serie A standings, or at worst hopefully extend their lead over Juventus. The more points they can rack up while Juve are having this tough league start, the better off Roma will be come the end of the season once the bianconeri inevitably get rolling again. Of course, Sassuolo have been a pretty solid team this season, downing Napoli in their season opener and generally looking better than most pundits expected. One thing is for certain: they won’t make life easy on Roma in this match.

The weekend’s special: Porto vs. Benfica

It’s time for O Clássico, Portugal’s biggest derby and a match that’s always interesting to watch. This 103-year-old rivalry between the biggest teams in Portugal’s biggest cities has long been a contentious one, and it also serves as a contrast in styles. Porto have traditionally favored a more patient, possession-oriented approach to their games, while Benfica are all about speed and flash. That difference between the two teams has made for some fascinating battles to watch unfold over the years, and this weekend’s edition of their rivalry should be no different. You probably don’t have the channel that it’s on in the US, but FuboTV has you covered.
