Tottenham Hotspur will look to build on back-to-back Premier League wins by adding a third at home to Manchester City in Saturday’s early kickoff. It has been a largely frustrating start to the season for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, but that would all change if they managed to pull off an upset and pick up a victory against the division’s early title favourites.
Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester City 2015 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online
League leaders Manchester City travel to White Hart Lane in the early Premier League kickoff Saturday.

Meanwhile, City will be out to bounce back from their shock defeat at home to West Ham United last weekend. It was a big kick in the teeth for Manuel Pellegrini’s men, who have otherwise enjoyed a perfect start to the domestic season. Heading into this match, the Citizens are two points clear of rivals United at the top of the table, and six above ninth-placed Spurs.
Key player: David Silva (Manchester City)
City playmaker David Silva is a doubt for this match, but they’ll be desperately hoping he’s declared fit to play. The Spaniard has been at the heart of all their success so far this season, with his excellent movement and eye for a devastating through-ball making him the instrumental figure in Manuel Pellegrini’s attack. If he does play, Spurs could find it difficult to keep him quiet.
Recent history
Unfortunately for Spurs, the history books don’t make for pleasant reading. They only lost 1-0 when these sides last met, but before then had lost three on the bounce to a combined aggregate score of 15-2. They know only too well how potent City can be when they’re in the mood, but need to try and head into the game feeling they can beat their Mancunian opponents for the first time in five games.
Tottenham Hotspur injuries and suspensions
Out: Nabil Bentaleb (ankle). In doubt: Moussa Dembélé (foot), Ryan Mason (knee).
Manchester City injuries and suspensions
Out: Gaël Clichy (ankle), Fabian Delph (hamstring). In doubt: Vincent Kompany (calf), Kelechi Iheanacho, Samir Nasri (knock), Wilfried Bony (ankle), Pablo Zabaleta (knee), David Silva (calf), Eliaquim Mangala (unspecified muscle injury).
Spurs will certainly be without Nabil Bentaleb, but will be hoping to have Moussa Dembélé and Ryan Mason back to strengthen their midfield. It’s City with the real injury problems: though Gaël Clichy and Fabian Delph are the only certain absentees, they could be joined on the sidelines by a host of other important first-teamers, including captain Vincent Kompany and on-form playmaker David Silva.
