Bayern Munich aren’t quite running away in the Bundesliga title race just yet, but they’ve got a comfortable five-point lead in the table and don’t look like slowing down any time soon. Now as they’re hosting a relegation-threatened side in Hoffenheim, Bayern will be hoping to extend that lead even further as the second half of the German season starts to pick up some momentum.
Bayern Munich vs. Hoffenheim 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch Bundesliga online
Bayern Munich can aid their run to the Bundesliga title and further doom a team struggling against relegation with one win Sunday.

Of course, Hoffenheim came closer than anyone else did to upsetting the odds against Bayern early this season. Thanks to a a first-minute Kevin Volland goal and a stellar home performance, it took an extra time goal from Robert Lewandowski for Bayern to win. Hoffenheim haven’t managed many more surprises since then, though, sitting even with Hannover for least points in the league. They need to find some more of that old magic if they’re going to stay in the Bundesliga.
Key player -- Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich)
Lewandowski is coming off yet another impressive performance, with a brace against HSV to kick off the second half of the Bundesliga season. While it’s been a few months since the Polish striker went on his jaw-dropping run of goalscoring form, he’s still a constant and significant threat -- and if he heats up again in this match, there’s nothing Hoffenheim or anyone else will be able to do to stop him from scoring more goals.
Key matchup -- Douglas Costa (Bayern Munich) vs. Jin-Su Kim (Hoffenheim)
Getting Costa back to health has been huge for Bayern, with his pace and trickery out wide something that they’d slowly grown to lean on earlier in the season. His skills are significant, and he’s added a new and valuable dimension to Bayern’s game, one that Kim will be hard-pressed to try to constrain. If the South Korean fullback can keep Costa at bay, it might just do enough to slow Bayern down to give Hoffenheim a chance to get something out of this game.
