AC Milan got off to a shaky start under new coach Vincenzo Montella, but have recovered by winning four of their last five Serie A matches. They find themselves up in a healthy third position heading into this weekend's encounter with league leaders Juventus, and will be hoping home advantage gives them a sufficient edge to earn them a point or three.

However, Juve head into the match having won seven of their eight league games so far this season, and in the knowledge they already have a five-point lead at the top of the table. Max Allegri’s side remain quite comfortably Italy’s best, and it would be a great surprise if they were to be overhauled at the top of the table this season. Not since 2012 have they been beaten by Milan, and they’ll not be expecting to start here.

Milan will be without midfielders Andrea Bertolacci, Mati Fernández and Riccardo Montolivo, while full-back Luca Antonelli is also sidelined. Juve too have four absentees: defenders Giorgio Chiellini and Daniele Rugani, midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah, and striker Mario Mandžukić are all on the physio's table.
