D.C. United’s Lamar Neagle wins MLS Player of the Week for Week 30

In the case of D.C. United, last week's two-game week resulted in two wins to help solidify their MLS playoff prospects, and Lamar Neagle turned in a good personal week, grabbing a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over Columbus Crew SC midweek before scoring both goals in an impressive 2-1 road win over Toronto FC. As a result of his exploits, he was the runaway winner of SB Nation's MLS Player of the Week award for Week 30.
Neagle may not be a consistent scoring option in MLS, which is largely why his hometown Seattle Sounders traded him to D.C. last offseason. But he's got nine goals and six assists in regular season play this season, and good teams can always use players to help carry the scoring load, something Neagle has been good at doing throughout his career.
