Italy vs. Spain 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule, and how to watch World Cup qualifying online

This World Cup qualifying match between dropping powers in Europe should prove to be an educational affair.

World Cup qualifying is in full swing in Europe, and the biggest match of this international break is coming in Turin, with Italy and Spain squaring off in UEFA qualifying action. It's a big, big match between two European powers who aren't quite what they used to be, and a win here would be a way to make a statement that things are heading in the right direction again.

It helps that matches between Italy and Spain are entertaining far more often than not, but this has all the signs of an excellent match. Both are definitely teams in transition, who are both working on adjusting to new managers and trying to get younger at the same time. This will make for a stern test for both teams and can be a good way to judge how far they’ve come along with their re-development.

Giampiero Ventura and Julen Lopetegui have had fairly solid starts with Italy and Spain, respectively, but there’s no way to know yet if they’re ready for this kind of matchup. The pressure is high, and that has a way of exposing weaknesses in transitioning teams like these -- or in highlighting just how well it’s going. One way or the other, we’re going to know a lot more about these two teams once the final whistle blows.

To watch online in the U.S. you can use the Fox Soccer 2GO subscription service, or depending on your internet provider you can freely use Fox Sports Go. It won’t be streamed online in Italy or Spain, but for options in other countries you can check out the listings on LiveSoccerTV.

TV: Fox Sports 1 (U.S.), RAI Uno (Spain), TVE La 1 (Spain)

Match Date/Time: Thursday, 2:45 p.m. ET, 8:45 p.m. local

Venue: Juventus Stadium, Turin, Italy
