Bayer Leverkusen vs. CSKA Moscow 2016: Start time, live stream, TV schedule, and 3 things to know

Bayer Leverkusen face a potentially tough trip to CSKA Moscow on Tuesday.

It has taken long enough, but the penultimate round of Champions League group stage action finally promises some interesting football. We're at the stage now where every point counts, as both CSKA Moscow and Bayer Leverkusen will know all too well. The two teams face off in Moscow on Tuesday, with the hosts sitting rock bottom of the group, but just four points adrift of second-placed Leverkusen. There's still all to play for.

Keeping a close eye on the encounter are sure to be the two remaining teams in the group, Monaco and Tottenham Hotspur. The former are two points clear of Leverkusen at the top of the table; the latter are two points adrift. Things could well go right down to the final matchday in one of this year’s more interesting groups.

Three big things to know

1. Leverkusen are still unbeaten in this year’s Champions League, but only picked up their first win away at Tottenham Hotspur last time out. Kevin Kampl scored the only goal of an entertaining game shortly past the hour, dealing a big blow to Spurs’ hopes of safe passage into the knockouts.

2. CSKA, in contrast, are yet to win a match in this year’s Champions League, and head into this tie having not won a single game in this competition in their last eight attempts. Not since last September, when they recorded a 3-2 victory over PSV Eindhoven, has coach Leonid Slutsky overseen a victory in Europe’s top club competition.

3. CSKA will be without Roman Eremenko, who has been suspended for two years after a positive doping control test. He's joined on the sidelines by Aleksandrs Cauņa, who hasn't played this season after undergoing ankle surgery. Leverkusen, meanwhile, will be without midfielder Lars Bender and attacker Karim Bellarabi; and are waiting on the fitness of Joel Pohjanpalo and Vladlen Yurchenko.
