Barcelona will look to bounce back from their midweek defeat to Manchester City when they travel to face Sevilla in Sunday's last La Liga fixture. Luis Enrique's side started the weekend two points adrift of league leaders Real Madrid, and will want to close the gap as quickly as possible. Away at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, however, they should certainly expect a difficult encounter.

That’s because Sevilla have made a fine start to life under new coach Jorge Sampaoli. They’re only a point adrift of Barcelona in the table, and have dropped only a couple of points in their last four league games. For the time being, they’re looking like a serious force, and could pose Barça problems with their characteristically energetic style. One thing’s for sure: this won’t be a game short on action.

Three big things to know
1. Both of these sides are waiting on the fitness of important players. Nico Pareja and Samir Nasri are doubtful for Sevilla, while Gabriel Mercado is suspended. For Barça, Jordi Alba, Gerard Piqué, Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal all face late fitness tests. For the hosts, Benoît Trémoulinas and Michael Krohn-Dehli are out; Barça will be missing Andrés Iniesta and Jérémy Mathieu.
2. Barcelona have won four straight matches against Sevilla, including a 5-0 aggregate drubbing they inflicted in the Super Cup back in August. However, they did suffer defeat when they travelled to the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán in the league last season, with a late penalty conversion by Neymar nothing more than a consolation after Krohn-Dehli and Vicente Iborra had fired the hosts two in front.
3. Sevilla have managed to turn the Pizjuán into something of a fortress so far this season: they are the only team in the league to have won every one of their home matches. However, Barça have the league’s second-best record on the road, having dropped points away from Camp Nou just the once.
