Rangers will look to halt Celtic’s charge in a New Year’s Eve edition of the Old Firm Derby on Saturday. Celtic head into the game with a mammoth 16-point lead over their Glasgow rivals in the league table, having not dropped points since being held to a 2-2 draw by Inverness Caledonian Thistle back in September. Brendan Rodgers’ men certainly head into the match as favourites.
Celtic vs. Rangers, Old Firm derby 2016: Start time, live stream, TV schedule, and 3 things to know
The latest edition of the Old Firm Derby takes place at Ibrox on New Year’s Eve.

However, it’ll certainly be an intimidating trip for Celtic, who haven’t won away at Ibrox since 2011. On that occasion, a brace from Georgios Samaras separated the two teams, though Rangers still went on to win the league title by a solitary point. Rather more comforting for Celtic is, however, the memory of their last meeting back in September, when a hat-trick Moussa Dembélé contributed to a 5-1 thrashing of the Gers.

Three big things to know
1. Rangers have a couple of defensive injury concerns: veterans Clint Hill and Lee Wallace both face late fitness tests. Celtic will be without midfielder Tom Rogic, though Callum McGregor is back after a one-match suspension. Kieran Tierney faces a late fitness test.
2. Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has a selection dilemma in attack, where Moussa Dembélé and Leigh Griffiths are both vying for the same spot at center-forward. Both have netted eight league goals so far this season, with the former having scored three of them in the reverse fixture at Celtic Park.
3. Celtic have scored more goals than anyone in the SPL so far this season, and conceded fewer than anyone. It has been an impressive start from Rodgers’ side. While Rangers have the second-tightest defense in the league, they’ve tended to struggle for goals, and have scored just 27 times in their first 20 games.
