Real Madrid play host to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday, in what is arguably the highlight of the final group stage matchday. Both sides have guaranteed their passage into the knockout stages already, though they're still vying over top spot and -- theoretically, at least -- an easier tie in the next round.
Real Madrid vs. Borussia Dortmund live stream: Time, TV schedule, and how to watch Champions League online
Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are still vying over the top spot heading into the final Champions League group stage matchday.
Dortmund head in with the advantage, and know a draw at the Santiago Bernabéu would be sufficient for them to finish two points clear of Madrid in the table. That leaves their hosts with a simple task: either win, or finish second. It should be a thrilling game between two of Europe’s very best sides.

Three big things to know
1. Real Madrid will be without Gareth Bale, though they could have Álvaro Morata and Toni Kroos back available after they returned to training following injury layoffs. Dortmund's first-choice keeper Roman Bürki is unavailable after hand surgery, while Sven Bender, who is yet to appear this season after an ankle problem, is unlikely to be thrown in at the deep end.
2. Real Madrid, who are this tournament's defending champions, haven't lost a competitive match since they faced Wolfsburg in the quarterfinals of last season's Champions League. They head into this match on the back of snatching a last-gasp El Clásico draw against rivals Barcelona on the weekend.
3. Dortmund's last visit to the Santiago Bernabéu came in the quarterfinals of the Champions League in 2014. On that occasion they suffered a 3-0 defeat, with Gareth Bale, Isco, and Cristiano Ronaldo all getting on the scoresheet. They won the following leg 2-0, eventually succumbing to a narrow aggregate defeat.
