If La Liga leaders Barcelona win their game in hand, they'll move seven points clear of third-placed Real Madrid in the La Liga table. Zinedine Zidane's side really can't afford to lose any more ground if they're to stand any chance of reclaiming the La Liga title this season. They should be able to build on last weekend's 6-0 thrashing of Espanyol on Sunday, when they travel to face struggling Granada.

Anything other than a comfortable Real Madrid win away at Granada on Sunday would come as a significant surprise.

The Andalusian outfit are currently second from bottom in the La Liga table, and look set for a long and difficult relegation struggle. They’re only a point from safety, though it’s difficult to envisage them pulling clear of the bottom three this weekend. Anything other than a heavy defeat would be something of an achievement for a fairly young and inexperienced side.
Key player: Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
Ronaldo is now 31, but he's still scoring goals for fun. He's netted 30 times in 28 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions, and scored a hat trick in their thrashing of Catalonian side Espanyol last weekend. He'll doubtless be disappointed if he fails to get on the scoresheet again this weekend against a team, who have conceded on average two goals a game in La Liga so far. Only fellow strugglers Rayo Vallecano have a worse defensive record.
Recent history
Real Madrid have won five straight matches against Granada, including a huge 9-1 win at the Bernabéu last April. However, in this season’s reverse fixture they only managed a 1-0 home win, and were surprisingly defeated by the Andalusians when they made the trip south in 2013. It’s unlikely, but the history books suggest Granada have a small chance of causing an upset.

Granada will certainly be without winger Méndez and full-back Ruíz; midfielder Rico and forwards Success and Peñaranda are doubtful.
Real Madrid only have a couple of certain absentees: Bale is still out with a calf injury, while a foot problem rules Pepe out again.
