Liverpool vs. Southampton 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

Liverpool can record their fourth straight league win when they take on Southampton on Sunday.

Liverpool will look to continue their recent good form when they travel to play Southampton on Sunday. Jürgen Klopp's side have now strung together three consecutive league wins, and now only goal difference keeps them below the seventh-placed Saints. Given the Merseysiders have played twice less than the South Coast side, it seems only a matter of time before they make the jump.

However, Southampton certainly won't make life easy for their visitors in this match. Ronald Koeman's men have been in some patchy form of late, though they got back to winning ways in a tough match away at Stoke City last weekend. They'll be looking to recreate the run of form they started in January, when they won five Premier League matches from a possible six. They're doubtless a talented team, and certainly have the quality to make Liverpool pay for any complacency.

Key player: Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)

Brazilian attacker Philippe Coutinho has been in some fine form of late, and appears to be establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s most dangerous attackers. Though he remains slightly too inconsistent to stake a claim among the very best, he’s already capable of turning a game in an instant. A lightning dribbler with an eye for the audacious, he could well add to his tally at St. Mary’s.

When these sides last met: Southampton 1-6 Liverpool, December 2, 2015

Southampton may still be having nightmares about the last time they faced off against Liverpool. They were thrashed 6-1 in front of their own fans in December's Capital One Cup encounter, despite Koeman fielding a strong team. Sadio Mané gave the hosts the lead inside a minute, but a brace from Daniel Sturridge, a hat-trick from Divock Origi, and another from Jordon Ibe sealed a comprehensive win for the Merseysiders.

Southampton injuries and suspensions

Out: Charlie Austin (hamstring); Jay Rodríguez (foot); Florin Gardoș (knee). In doubt: None.

Liverpool injuries and suspensions

Out: Joe Gomez, Danny Ings (knee); Kevin Stewart (ankle); Lucas Leiva (thigh). In doubt: Jordan Henderson (illness); Alberto Moreno (hamstring).

Southampton will still be without strikers Austin and Rodríguez, though they’re both nearing a return from their respective injuries. Defender Gardoș is still sidelined with a long-term knee injury.

Liverpool's injury list is slightly longer, though midfield anchorman Lucas will be their only first team absentee, provided that Henderson and Moreno pass late fitness tests.

Venue: St. Mary’s Stadium, Southampton, England
