Canada goes to Estadio Azteca for a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday night. Since they lost to Mexico at home on Friday, they'll almost certainly lose to El Tri in this game too, and that's fine. They still have a lot to play for.

The Canadians currently have four points, while El Salvador has two and Honduras has one. Honduras hosts El Salvador on Tuesday as well, and no matter the result, Canada will both have a chance to get to the Hexagonal round of qualifying and have a lot of work left to do.
While it sounds very cynical, the trick for Les Rouges on Tuesday night is to not get blown out that badly. Even if they beat El Salvador at home on the final day of this qualifying round, goal differential might come into play. If they can avoid getting killed by Mexico and El Tri take Honduras to the cleaners, then Canada has a good chance of making the Hex.
Mexico, meanwhile, are going to make the Hex very comfortably and might even take an experimental team to September’s qualifiers.
