There’s no simpler way to put this -- Real Madrid got their butts handed to them by Wolfsburg last week in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal tie. The German side’s 2-0 win could and arguably should have been even wider, and the shock was only increased by the fact that Madrid were riding high after winning El Clasico just days before.
Real Madrid vs. Wolfsburg 2016 live stream: How to watch Champions League online
Will Real Madrid overcome last week’s shocking defeat at the hands of Wolfsburg?
Now, though, the tie is heading back to Spain and things are getting serious. Wolfsburg held off the tidal wave of Real Madrid's attack once -- but doing so again at the Bernabeu is a completely different matter. Their 2-0 lead is not insurmountable for an attack as good as Madrid's, but if the Germans can get an early away goal, they might just be able to hold Madrid off with that tiebreaker in hand. If not -- well, we'll see just how good Wolfsburg's defense can be.
