Bayern Munich were trailing their Champions League match against Benfica 1-0, and the tie was 1-1 on aggregate. Bayern needed a goal quickly to reestablish their lead in the tie, and who else would step up but the man who scored their first goal in the tie -- Arturo Vidal.

This vital away goal restored Bayern’s lead in the tie and gave them a tiebreaker over Benfica.

That’s an absolute rocket of a shot from outside the box by Vidal, and played off a rebound to boot. The best part? That’s his “weak” foot. If he’d hit that with his stronger foot, Vidal might have actually put that through the net instead of into it.
The goal also gives Bayern an away goal in the tie, which will prove vital if Benfica manage to score again. Benfica failed to score in the first leg in Germany, so if the match ends with the score level, Bayern go through on the away goals tiebreaker. In other words, Vidal probably just won this tie for Bayern.
