El Clásico 2016 lineups: Real Madrid, Barcelona trot out expected teams

No surprises from Enrique or Zidane.

If you were hoping for some wild surprises in the lineups for El Clásico, you’ll be a bit disappointed to see the team news. Luis Enrique and Zinedine Zidane have both sent out their expected teams as Real Madrid faces Barcelona on Saturday.

Madrid needs a victory, but they’re not throwing caution to the wind with their team selection. Casemiro will anchor the midfield, while Luka Modric and Toni Kroos will play in front of him. Zidane will be thrilled that his entire first choice forward line is intact -- Los Merengues have been great this year when Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo all start, which isn’t often.

Barca’s starting XI will be very easily recognizable to anyone who’s seen them at any point over the last two years. Like Madrid, they have their spectacular world class forward line intact.

Barcelona lineup (4-3-3): Claudio Bravo; Jordi Alba, Javier Mascherano, Gerard Pique, Dani Alves; Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic, Andres Iniesta; Neymar, Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi

Real Madrid lineup (4-3-3): Keylor Navas; Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Dani Carvajal; Casemiro, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric; Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale

Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. ET, 8:30 p.m. local time from the Camp Nou in Barcelona. You can watch it on beIN Sports in the United States.
