Barcelona vs. Atlético Madrid lineups

Atléti have opted to give Antoine Griezmann a strike partner rather than pack the midfield.

Atlético Madrid have struggled to get the better of Barcelona in La Liga recently, but they’ve been excellent in knockout competitions under Diego Simeone and will like their chances of getting a positive result against the Blaugrana in Champions League on Tuesday.

Rather than packing the midifeld, Atléti likes their chances to deny Barca chances by keeping their shape with fewer midfielders and getting the ball up to a pair of strikers. Fernando Torres has been given a start alongside Antoine Griezmann, while the rest of their lineup is about as expected. This game will be a big test for young Lucas Hernandez, who deputizes for Jose Gimenez in defense.

Barcelona are unchanged from El Clásico, where they fell 2-1 to Real Madrid.

Barcelona lineup (4-3-3): Marc-Andre ter Stegen; Jordi Alba, Javier Mascherano, Gerard Pique, Dani Alves; Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic, Andres Iniesta; Neymar, Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi

Atlético Madrid lineup (4-4-2): Jan Oblak; Felipe Luis, Lucas Hernandez, Diego Godin, Juanfran; Koke, Gabi, Saul, Yannick Ferreira Carrasco; Antoine Griezmann, Fernando Torres

Kickoff is at 2:45 p.m. ET, 8:45 p.m. local time from Camp Nou. In the United States, you can catch the game on Fox Sports 1 or Fox Sports Go.
