Week 5 in MLS was kind of blah overall. Yes, there were some good games in the bunch, but individual performances were largely mixed or somewhat muted.
Kaká is unanimous choice for MLS Player of the Week 5


Except for one player -- Orlando City's Kaká.
The Brazilian star was the unanimous choice for SB Nation's MLS Player of the Week vote, getting the top slot from all voters. And his case was compelling, as he scored a goal and dropped two assists in Orlando City's 4-1 demolition of the Portland Timbers on Sunday. And it was his season debut, so if he can maintain anything like this form, watch out, league.
Beyond Kaká, the Player of the Week picture was pretty muddy, with only Vancouver Whitecaps GK David Ousted and Real Salt Lake F Joao Plata getting away from the pack at all. Still, they were both a distant second to Kaká.
