Real Madrid will be hoping for final matchday fireworks in La Liga, with Zinedine Zidane's side trailing league leaders Barcelona by a single point heading into the weekend's fixtures. Atlético Madrid's slip-up against Levante last time out has turned the three-horse race into a two-horse straight sprint, and all of Real Madrid's focus on the weekend will be holding up their end of the bargain away at midtable Deportivo La Coruña.
Real Madrid vs. Deportivo 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch La Liga online
Real Madrid will be hoping to overtake Barcelona on the final matchday of the La Liga season.

It’s certainly a game they should be able to win, with Deportivo having been in some pretty lousy form of late. They’ve only won two games this side of Christmas, and have spent the following few months in form that will see them head into next season as outside relegation candidates. They head into the final match of the season comfortably clear of the bottom three, but they’re unlikely to end on a high at home to Madrid.
Key player: Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
Who else could it be? Another season passes, and another season in which Cristiano Ronaldo can claim to be the best player on the planet. Some things never change. The Portuguese international has netted 33 goals in 35 La Liga appearances so far, and he’ll certainly be expecting to add one or two more to his tally and give Madrid a shot at snatching the title from their biggest rivals.
Recent history
Madrid have won each of their last six matches against Deportivo, who haven’t come away from one of these meetings with anything since they mustered a goalless draw in 2011. You’ve got to travel back to 2008 for the last time Depor actually won one of these matches; on the scoresheet in Madrid’s 2-1 defeat that day was one Ruud van Nistelrooy. Those were days.
Deportivo La Coruña injuries and suspensions
Out: Fabricio, Germán Lux (knee); Juan Domínguez (ankle). In doubt: Juanfran (hamstring); Laure (hip).
Real Madrid injuries and suspensions
Out: Lucas Vázquez (knee). In doubt: Gareth Bale (knee); Jesé (flu).
Deportivo will be without goalkeepers Fabricio and Lux, as well as midfielder Domínguez. However, they’re hoping to have winger Juanfran and defender Laure back from injuries.
Real Madrid’s only certain absentee is young striker Vázquez, with his fellow forwards Bale and Jesé both facing late fitness tests.
