Cristiano Ronaldo hurt in training, but expects to play in Champions League final
Real Madrid’s superstar went down hard on Tuesday, but says it’s just a knock.

When Cristiano Ronaldo takes the pitch in the Champions League final on Saturday, he might not be 100 percent. Ronaldo suffered a knock in training on Tuesday, going down under a hard challenge by Dani Carvajal.
He might be hurting, but there’s no chance he won’t play in the game. “I had a small problem in the training session, a ‘bocadillo’ as they say in Spain,” said Ronaldo. “But tomorrow or the day after I will be fine.” Zinedine Zidane agreed, though he mentioned that Ronaldo had another knock earlier as well. “There will be no problem with that,” he said. “We had a game among ourselves on Saturday and [Ronaldo] didn’t play, but [only] as a precaution as he felt something small.”
It’ll be a shame if he can’t be anywhere near his best at the final against Atlético Madrid.
