Dimitri Payet scores a spectacular winner for France vs. Romania

What a hit.

Dimitri Payet was clearly the man of the match throughout France's opening Euro 2016 game against Romania, no matter the result. But he decided to deliver an absolutely spectacular game-winning goal in the 89th minute for good measure.

He’d created the opening goal before that, as well as a half-dozen other chances. And he hit this strike with his weaker foot. He’s incredible.

The thousands of French fans gathered outside the Eiffel Tower to watch the game fully appreciated the spectacular goal. The celebration was on in full.

Romania played much better than anyone expected in this match, but France was just too good for them in the end, scraping a 2-1 win.
