Before Saturday, the last time that Wales had scored in an international tournament was at the 1958 World Cup. In the years between then and now, they didn't have Gareth Bale, the most expensive footballer in history, in his prime. But now they do, and he takes free kicks like this.

Less than 10 minutes before this, Wales had to clear a shot by Marek Hamsik off the line to keep the score level. Jonny Williams set up this goal by drawing a free kick 25 yards out, which everyone immediately knew was Bale range. And when he stepped up, he didn’t disappoint.
