Austria vs. Hungary 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch UEFA Euros online

The monarchies of Austria and Hungary were once united, but on Tuesday the two nations face off in their Euro 2016 opener. It's Austria who head in as favourites, with Marcel Koller's side having been identified by many as one of the tournament's dark horses. In Bayern Munich's versatile starlet David Alaba, they have one of the most talented young players in the tournament. He's certainly the only real star of this team, but in the likes of Premier League-winning captain Christian Fuchs and Stoke City attacker Marko Arnautović, he'll have plenty of solid support.

In contrast, Hungary lack a real world-class talent, and their squad -- for the most part -- lacks the major league experience of Austria's. They'll be looking for a big performance from their best forward Balázs Dzsudzsák, who has scored 18 goals for his national team. A tricky winger who sprung to prominence in a successful spell in the Netherlands with PSV Eindhoven, he's since played his domestic football in Russia and Turkey. We'll have to wait and see whether he'll have sufficient ability to make a real mark on this big stage.

These sides last faced off way back in 2006, when Hungary emerged 2-1 winners over Austria in a friendly. Not since 1996 have Austria managed to get one over on their neighbours, though their national team seems in ruder health now than at any time in the intervening period. Austria have failed to win a single game at any major international tournament since 1990, though they’ve arrived in France with a great chance of changing that.
